The NFL’s bathtub slides doors are dead.
The league said Monday it had decided to end its contract with the company.
The decision came as part of a deal to cut costs and make the product more competitive with other sliding door manufacturers, according to a statement from the league.
In August, the league signed a $1 billion deal to buy a 10 percent stake in the company and to merge it with a company that has been the subject of several lawsuits.
The NFL did not disclose the terms of the agreement with its new owner, the Los Angeles Rams.
In a statement, NFL spokesman Michael Signora said the move “represents a great opportunity to bring our franchise to a new level of competitiveness.”
The Rams, who play at the new home of St. Louis, are expected to move to Los Angeles in 2021.
