This is the story of how a black bathtub sink became a popular pet store fixture in Ireland.

In the 1970s, a garda in Co. Clare had a particularly nasty encounter with a snake.

He said he saw a snake in the bathtub of a home on his property, and the animal’s mouth was moving.

“It was an enormous snake and he was very aggressive and it was going to bite me,” he said.

“The garda was able to grab the snake and pull it away from me. “

“We were on the phone with the garda when he saw the snake again, but he was a little bit scared. “

“He had to use a mop and clean the snake.” “

He said the snake was then taken to the veterinary hospital where a vet had to perform a hysterectomy. “

In 1984, the snake’s mouth, which was covered in sores, was removed.

In 1987, the sink was installed and the owner had it restored.

The bathtub snake still lives in a nearby property.
